Nintendo Game Boy Color

CGB-CPU-02

Released around 1999, CGB-CPU-02 is the second board revision of the Game Boy Color. It carries the Sharp LR35902 SoC (a Z80-derived core running at 4.19 MHz in DMG-compatible mode or 8.38 MHz in GBC mode), 32 KB of work RAM, and 16 KB of VRAM. The colour LCD is a reflective TFT at 160x144, without a backlight, and the console runs from two AA cells regulated by an onboard step-up converter. The -02 board is a minor cost/layout tweak over -01 rather than a functional change.
